Inchworm: 25 & 26 weeks

Week 25 (last week):Inchworm measured about 13 1/2 inches last week. His weight, —was around a pound and a half and wasn't much more than an average rutabaga, but he's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for a more rounded one. As he gains weight, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more like a mini newborn. His hair is probably recognizable now in color and texture, although both may change after he's born.

Week 26 (up-to-date):
Inchworm now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures approx. 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber), from head to heel. The nerve pathways in her ears are developing, which means his response to sounds is growing more consistent. His lungs are developing now, too, as he continues to take small breaths of amniotic fluid — good practice for when he's born and takes that first breath of air. Boys growth at this stage - his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days. Betcha really wanted to know those details! ;)

My Updates:

Inchworm is turning into a little body more and more as the days fly by! Within the last two weeks he's been nudging his limbs out at me which are noticeably stronger. When I work out (swimming or walking) I feel as if he's balling up as tight as possible in his chosen corner and hanging on for dear life, it gives me a side-ache quickly. Silly boy, he's not going anywhere!

I know I know, these posts aren't so interesting. Everyone is probably sick of seeing them. I haven't posted anything too great in a while...totally missed Christmas and New Year Eve. Well I'll try to get some more entertaining posts up shortly.

HaHa! of course I haven't been tanning. I wouldn't want to bake his brain. I have tanned over the past years, Robyn is just more opaque than me. Her tummy never see's the light of day!
