29 Weeks
- Weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash)
- Measures a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel.
- His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature
- His head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain ("...his 'heed is like sputnik!" guess that movie).
- This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in his hardening skeleton each day.
- Weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage)
- Measures 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels.
- He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes.
- With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb.
- He's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.
- Weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower)
- Measures about 14.4 inches long with his legs extended.
- He can now open and close his eyes, and he sleeps and wakes at regular intervals.
- He may suck his fingers
- Although his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with assistance — if he were to be born prematurely.
- Chalk up any rhythmic movement you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on.
- With more brain tissue developing, his brain is very active now. Wonder what he's thinking?
So we've had a lot of progress. I've got feet and little fits coming out at me from all angles. It is such an amazing thing! He still likes to sit on my right side about 99% of the time.
Sorry for such short and delayed updates! Gotta Jet! We also have new belly shots I'll post soon!

y'all are busy! When 3 weeks pass in one post, it seems (to me, not you, haha!) that your pregnancy is flying by! Does Dominic get the hiccups? I love baby hiccups. Can't wait to see the belly pics :) ...and I have no idea where that movie quote is from...
I can't wait for the next vegetable! or maybe fruit...will he eventually be a watermelon? No idea on the movie. Hi inchworm!
